BAMMA World Featherweight Champion, Tom 'Fire Kid' Duquesnoy has been preparing extra hard for what looks to be his most dangerous challenge yet at BAMMA 18 when he faces Krzysztof Klaczek in the main event of the evening at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on 21st February 2015.
He spoke exclusively to BAMMA.com about his preperations and told us about his experiences out in the US:
"As before each fight, I am preparing very seriously, it is a very rigorous and intensive moment.
For this fight I went to the US to train with the best teams - Jackson , Blackhouse, Drysdale, and met and trained with huge champions such as Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida, Carlos Condit, Donald Cerrone, but also french based over there such as Bendy Casimir, Daniel Voirin and Medhi Baghdad. I took this opportunity to add to my fight style new techniques, and now I’m working on incorporating some of them to my training – which i’m fine tuning at KAJYN Club in paris."
Duquesnoy is also being ranked very highly in the press as number one featherweight prospect in the world currently, which means the world will be watching on to see if this training will pay off come Feb 21st. After the disappointing conclusion to his title fight with Ashleigh 'Cruiser' Grimshaw at BAMMA 16. The 'Fire Kid' will be looking to set the world alight in Wolverhampton.
BAMMA 18: DuQuesnoy Vs. Klaczek is presented by Lonsdale, and takes place at the Civic Hall, Wolverhampton, on Saturday 21st February 2015. Tickets on sale at bit.ly/BAMMA18 Book your tickets to all fights live for the best in MMA Sports Entertainment.
